No Longer Incommunicado

I'm back from a short Air Guard assignment and a visit with some dear friends...

If you haven't already, please see my addition to the class wiki under Blog Reviews titled The Lost Art of Feedback – Commenting on the Web . Great article, given our drive to use web 2.0 in the classroom.

I've actually begun to introduce my instructional team to various concepts learned in the class. Though we won't be driving to web 2.0 anytime soon, we can definitely use the wiki as a starting point for our development. I've asked trainers to begin accessing the site to see how (if?) the wiki would be beneficial to them. I'll know more as we progress through the next two weeks, which are development weeks for us.

We use SharePoint at American Express, but this program seems to serve as a repository and not necessarily a shared-content, open-source site. This class (MED 608G) has provided some wonderful ideas for managing team development, though I fear that corporate America is not quite ready for a formal shared wiki.

Videocast... finally!

Well it took several tries, iterations, and gray hairs, but I was finally able to publish my first video podcast. The site has not yet been spruced up, as I focused on getting content on to the server. Nonetheless, I invite you to at least check it out...
